The principle of shunt release

The shunt release is an accessory for remotely controlling the opening. The shunt release is essentially a trip coil plus release. Thermal trips and electromagnetic trips are also used with this release. When the specified voltage is applied to the shunt trip coil, the circuit breaker trips and opens.

 Shunt release

The shunt release is commonly used in long-distance automatic power-off control for long-range low-voltage circuit breaker opening control. Its solenoid coil is connected in parallel to the power supply side of the low voltage circuit breaker. When the opening operation is required, the normally open button is pressed to make the electromagnet of the shunt release move the armature electrically, and the free tripping mechanism is pushed through the transmission mechanism so that the low voltage circuit breaker is turned off.

The shunt release is mainly used to open the switch at a long distance to control the disconnection of the circuit. Its working principle is:
