Fuse refers to when the current exceeds the specified value, with its own heat generated by the melt fuse, disconnect the circuit of an electrical appliance. Fuse is based on the current exceeds the specified value for a period of time, with its own heat to melt the melt, so that the circuit is disconnected; the use of this principle is made of a current protector. Fuse widely used in high and low voltage power distribution systems and control systems and electrical equipment, as a short circuit and over-current protection device is one of the most widely used protection devices.


Common species

Plug-in fuse: It is commonly used in 380V and below the voltage level of the end of the line, as the distribution branch or electrical equipment for short circuit protection.

Fast Fuse: Fast Fuse is mainly used for short-circuit protection of semiconductor rectifier components or rectifier. Due to the low overload capability of the semiconductor components. The structure of the fuse is basically the same as that of the filler-type enclosed fuse, but the material and the shape of the melt are different. Recoil Fuse: The use of metal sodium as a melt, at room temperature with high conductivity. When the circuit short-circuit fault occurs, the short-circuit current to produce high-temperature sodium vaporized rapidly, showing high-resistance state of sodium vapor, which limits the short-circuit current. When the short circuit current disappears, the temperature drops, the metal sodium restore the original good conductivity. Since the fuse can only limit the short circuit current, can not really break the circuit. The advantage is no need to change the melt, can be reused.
