1. What is low-voltage circuit breaker?

Low-voltage circuit breaker is a kind of mechanical switch and power distribution device used in low-voltage power grid that can connect, carry and break current under normal circuit conditions, and can also connect and carry a certain period of time and breaking current under specified abnormal conditions. .

It is mainly used for overload protection, short circuit, undervoltage, and leakage current protection of low-voltage circuits. It can also be used for infrequent switching on and off circuits.

2. Classification of miniature circuit breakers

Miniature circuit breakers are divided into two types: suitable for AC circuits and suitable for both AC and DC circuits.

AC miniature circuit breaker is suitable for AC 50Hz or 60Hz, AC air circuit breaker with rated voltage not exceeding 440V (phase to phase), rated current not exceeding 125A, and rated short-circuit capacity not exceeding 25000A.

AC and DC miniature circuit breakers refer to air circuit breakers with single-pole circuit breakers whose rated DC voltage does not exceed 220V, two poles does not exceed 440V, rated current does not exceed 125A, and rated DC short-circuit breaking capacity does not exceed 10000A. .

3. EPB-63 series miniature circuit breaker

EPB-63 series has the characteristics of advanced structure, reliable performance, strong breaking capacity, beautiful appearance and small size. It is mainly used in places where AC 50HZ or 60HZ, rated voltage below 400V, and rated working current below 63A.

Used for overload and short circuit protection of lighting, power distribution lines and equipment in office buildings, residences and similar buildings, and can also be used for infrequent on-off operations and conversion of lines. Since its launch, it has been well received by domestic and foreign customers.

4. Introduction to Maxge Electric EPB-63 Panel Parameters

4.1. EP stands for design serial number; B means miniature circuit breaker;63 refers to the maximum rated current of the frame.

There are 13 specifications including 1/2/3/4/6/10/16/20/25/32/40/50/63A.

4.2. What does B40, C40 or D40 mean in the pad printing content of EPB-63 series products? What does 6000A mean? What does IEC60898-1 mean?

Explanation: B, C, D in B40, C40, D40 The types representing the instantaneous tripping current are B, C, and D respectively,

Type B release means that the short-circuit protection action range is 3~5In times; Type C ranges from 5 to 10In times; Type D ranges from 10 to 20In times.40 refers to the rated current of 40A; 6000A refers to the short circuit breaking capacity. GB10963.1 refers to the national standard implemented by the product (EPB-63H), which is equivalent to the international standard IEC60898-1.

4.3. Working principle of EPB-63 series:

It has instantaneous tripping (short circuit protection) and delayed tripping (overload protection).

4.3.1 Instantaneous trip: when the line current reaches the action value

When the magnetomotive force is large enough, the moving iron core will move and push the ejector rod, and the ejector rod will open the lock buckle to make the trip buckle and the product disconnect.

4.3.2 Delayed trip: When the line current is greater than the rated current,

According to the inverse time characteristic of double gold (the higher the current, the faster the bending) double gold begins to bend, the pull rod pulls the lock to cause the trip to trip, the product is disconnected, and the power is disconnected.
